I have read about broken heart syndrome. Stress certainly is related to heart disease and heart conditions. As far as stroke, stress can increase your blood pressure and high blood pressure is the cause of stroke. Although I am not a medical professional, I would imagine, based on this logic, that stress can be, at least in part, a cause of a stroke.
