Hi CC, The feeling of derealization or  "fogginess" is a common symptom of anxiety.  The first thing to do is get a feel for at what level of anxiety does the symptom start to appear.  Start to rate how anxious you feel on a scale of 0-10, where 0 is perfectly calm and 10 is a panic attack.  Practice asking yourself, "what's my rating right now?" at various points of your day.   Anytime that your anxiety hits a level 5, it's time to intervene.  By the time a person gets to a 9 or 10, there's not much you can do until the panic attack is over.    What you can learn right now:   Abdominal Breathing Progressive Muscle Relaxation   Also, look into getting into Cogntive Behavioral Therapy  (CBT).  You can find a specialist in your area by going to the Anxiety Disorders Association of America (ADAA) website.   Regards,   Jennifer L.
