During a stress test I suffered a panic attack and my blood pressure shot up. Do panic attacks raise blood pressure?
Thank you for your question and welcome to AnxietyConnection.com.
Anxiety attacks can cause spikes in blood pressure. Normally, anxiety is not a cause of chronic hypertension but the spikes in blood pressure are temporary.
However, if the spikes are frequent enough, this can cause damage the same as chronic blood pressure.
