Make a resolution this year to not let work consume your life. While work dedication is an essential ingredient to accomplishment, such dedication can also lead to burnout, anxiety, and even depression. Here are 10 ways to reclaim your life and achieve success in both areas.

Making a schedule is only beneficial if it’s realistic and attainable. Does your schedule include downtime, for example an adequate lunch break? If you take a phone call from a family member, will it send your schedule into chaos?
Once your schedule is pared down to what a person can be reasonably expected to accomplish, give some thought toward establishing your boundaries. There needs to be a clear definition between personal life and career. Try setting a work cut-off time during the week, and be completely away from the office on Sundays. Make sure these boundaries never overlap. Another practice is to close the laptop and switch off the cell phone in the presence of family.
