Salty diet may increase risk of ulcers

A recent study found that the bacteria that causes ulcers becomes stronger when the content of the stomach is very salty. The physical and genetic structure of the Helicobacter pylori bacterium changes when it is exposed to high levels of salt. These changes make it more likely to cause an ulcer. Read more »
