Children and teens who have both attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and anxiety may find some relief in the ADHD drug Strattera. Researchers gave patients who had both ADHD and anxiety Strattera or a placebo. They found that the patients who took Strattera improved both their ADHD symptoms and their anxiety symptoms. The doctors looked at Strattera's effect on anxiety because 25 percent to 50 percent of people who have ADHD also have anxiety.
