Fear of crime doubles depression risk, study finds

A new University College London study has found that people with a strong fear of crime are almost twice as likely to show symptoms of depression as people who do not live with this fear. Researchers say that fear of crime--regardless of a person's age or physical health--is also associated with decreased physical functioning and lower quality of life. Read more »
