Zen meditation may reduce pain

Canadian researchers say Zen meditation may reduce sensitivity to moderate pain when practiced by a skilled practitioner. Previous studies have found that teaching chronic pain patients to meditate may relieve their pain, but it was not understood how meditation worked.
