Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients whose condition causes them to
have problems with depression may find relief by using the age-old
practice of meditation, a new study suggests. Researchers at the
University of Maryland School of Medicine found that exposure to
meditation techniques helped RA patients reduce their psychological
distress by as much as one-third.
