Signs Of Depression And Anxiety

Results from a new study suggest that 15 percent of preschoolers have signs of depression and anxiety. In the study, researchers looked at 1,758 children born in Quebec and their mothers and found that children who had "difficult temperaments" or depressed mothers had the highest risk for showing signs of anxiety and depression. Investigators say helping mothers and children who have symptoms of these conditions with cognitive behavior, talk therapy, or other interventions might help.
