Xanax Side Effects

Study links hospital stays and use of sleep meds

Researchers have found that a significant number of elderly patients prescribed a sleeping med for short-term insomnia during a hospital stay are still taking them six months later. Valium and Xanax are often prescribed as sleep aids and can have dangerous side effects, particularly when combined with other meds. Doctors say communication between hospital and family doctors is needed to fix the problem. Read more »
