Ward Off Panic Attacks

Everyone experiences anxiety at some point in their lives, but for others it is a common occurence that can disrupt daily life. If you experience anxiety, or period panic attacks, there are ways to manage them before they get out of control. Panic attacks are intense episodes of fear which are so powerful that they lead a person to fear that he/she is dying, going crazy, about to faint, or losing control of themselves in some vital way. Symptoms often include chest pressure or pain; a sense of choking; pounding heart; racing pulse; sweating; trembling or shaking and tingling and numbness in hands or feet. It's important to talk to your doctor to help you develop a plan to cope with general anxiety or a panic disorder. Some tips that can help include picking specific times and places to do your worrying; learning ways to relax, such as yoga or deep breathing; exercising regularly; getting plenty of sleep; avoiding alchohol and caffeine and confronting things that have made you anxious in the past.
