I have always had insomnia (delayed onset and unresorative sleep), but since my asthma diagnosis about a year back I am getting some different sleeping difficulties and some severe drowsiness during the day.  I twitch and jerk while sleeping and while trying to sleep... or during the day when I am falling sleep when I should not be.  I make a lot of noises now when I sleep, sometimes waking myself up with a sort of loud 'huh' noise.  I wake up taking a deep breath, or wake up not being able to take in a breath.  And I most definately wake up snoring now.  I am insanely tired, but just cannot get a good nights sleep, or even stay alseep for long.  I suppose I would like to know if this is common with asthma and if taking more meds like symbicort before bed would help with these problems?
