One of my biggest problems lately is balancing the treatments for my various health problems. I have high blood pressure, high cholesterol and diabetes as well as asthma. My latest difficulty is due to having to change my BP meds in order to help reduce my asthma symptoms. So far it's a work in progress. My BP is a little higher and my pulse rate is elevated...but I'm not coughing as much.

It just seems when you adjust one thing, another thing goes out of whack. I know eventually my doctors and I will find the right combination. In the meantime it makes things rough.

Be well,

tom

Hi Tom! This is Krystle, producer for MyAsthmaCentral.com.

I'm sorry to hear about the conflicts with your different types of medicine. I hope that you and your doctor can reach a good balance soon! You might want to check out healthcentral's other sites (for diabetes, blood pressure and cholesterol information).

Thanks for sharing your story with us, and please continue to update us on your progress!

My BP is now under control again but my pulse rate is still elevated. Since my coughing is not completely under control anyway I may ask to resume taking labetalol.  Avapro seems to have worked well in replacing Altace.
