Thanks for posting this. I know Steve through his blog and through our own discussions, pretty well. But it will always fill me with pride every time I read of his exploits and achievements. He will not be beaten by his illness-the very fact that he keeps on training and succeeding is his very raison d'etre.
I do understand this mentality first hand too. I'm a severe asthmatic with a similar FEV1 to his, and used to be able to run half marathons almost every weekend. Currently though, I am only able to struggle to keep up a swim programme, a km a day, as well as still working as a teacher albeit p/t now.
