At the current time, bronchial thermoplasty remains an investigational procedure, and to my knowledge has not been performed in children. What 'investigational' typically means is that patients who undergo such a procedure or treatment do so in the context of a clinical research trial. The AIR2 trial, which assesses the efficacy of bronchial thermoplasty, is being carried out at multiple sites in the United States and elsewhere.

To see if individual would be eligible to undergo bronchial thermoplasty, an inquiry should be placed with a study site that conducts the procedure.

A summary of the AIR2 trial can be found in the link below, including sites that are participating in the study. While the heading notes that the study is not currently enrolling participants, it may be worth inquiring directly with a site to find out what options are available.
