One thing is for sure, if your body is not getting enough oxygen, you will feel tired and worn out. There is some great information about asthma, causes and prognosis here in this article. You can also check symptoms and read about the latest drug therapies.
Good luck and stay in touch and let us know how you're doing!

morning batesloveshack!
what kind of weakness are you having? have you been wheezing for days on end? are you on medication? have you seen a dcotor?
certainly i've felt week after coughing during a bad cold or bronchitis.
Thank you for responding! I have seen a pulmonologist-diagnosed with symptoms and a positive methacholine challenge test. I am on Symbicort, albuterol, atrovent and singulair. I have seen some improvement since I began the drug therapy about a month ago. However, the poor endurance, weakness and shortness of breath (by the way I did see a cardiologist and my heart is perfect!) continue. The wheezing remains but has diminished somewhat. I had a mycoplasma pneumonia in March of this year. Since then I haven't been the same. Actually, since I had my baby 4 years ago I have been worn out have tired easily. I have never been a sickly person. This has all been a bit depressing! I feel for people who have serious, chronic illnesses. Thanks again for responding. If you or anyone else reading this has any advice on dealing with asthma
that would be great!
