About Me

I graduated with a BFA in illustration and cartooning from the School of Visual Arts. I've done work for many clients, from Viking Children's Books to Marvel Entertainment to the W.K. Kellogg Foundation... My last solo comic book was "The Mother's Mouth" from Alternative Comics in 2006, which was recently nominated for a "Special Recognition" 2007 Eisner Award. I have also done another comic book, a long mystery/comedy about the fictional Loony Family. You can see more of my work at www.dashshaw.com

I illustrate Rick Frea: Respiratory Therapist and Asthmatic comic for MyAsthmaCentral about Rick, a respiratory therapist at a hospital in the Midwest who has lived with asthma all his life.
