My daughter is 6yrs old.  She was diagnosed with seasonal asthma when she was a year old.  Every year her asthma has gotten worse.  She has had confirmed pneumonia 9 times and has been treated for pneumonia many times without a confirmed diagnosis.  To get her under "control" her pulmonology dr has her take Advair 230 2x's a day, Singular 5mg 1 a day, but we can't ever get to just taking those.  Right now she is taking the above + flovent 2 puffs a day, + xopenex every 2 hours, + nasanex 2 sprays, + musinex, + orapred, + zantac.  The toll this is taking on her 37lb body is something I don't know.  I do know that she had a pulse/ox today of 94 and that needs to be better.  We had her tested for allergies and she isn't allergic to anything.  I am tired, I am afraid.  I have prayed, read, and added a lot of vitamins and supplements to her long list of medications.  I had a parent tell me that I am going to OD my child with all of these, but I don't know what else to do. I am afraid to go to sleep at night.  I watch her sleep to make sure she is breathing making sure I am ready if need be.  She has missed a lot of school for a 1st grader.  She is falling behind and I know this shouldn't be on my top list of concerns, but it is.  I just want her to know what it feels like to be a normal girl who can ride her bike or play at recess instead of having to sit in the library.  If anyone has thoughts they could share I would appreciate it.
