Asthma symptoms in children may mimic many other infections or allergies, such as a peanut allergy, croup, or a bacterial infection. Classic asthma symptoms include wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing, and chest tightness. If you suspect any of these symptoms, take your child to the doctor right away.
