my doctor placed me on medrol for swelling in my wrist, hands, and ankles. someone said i shouldn't be around kids that get shots for kindergarden. is that true???

The best person to answer this question will be your personal physician who knows the detail about you, your condition, and your treatment. I'm guessing the concern is that being on a steroid could make you somewhat more susceptible to infection.
However, children who have been vaccinated, even with live vaccine, are not generally expected to become infectious. Still, if you have concerns and your grandson is having any symptoms of infection at all, you may want to be cautious. Wash your hands frequently and avoid coming into contact with respiratory secretions, etc.
