Hi Lukman,   My answer to your question depends on the level of control of your asthma, your age and whether there are other medical problems of concern.   Generally speaking, doctors do not want their patients to have any limitations. One of the goals of asthma management is to allow the patient to participate in desired sports activities. Aerobic activities help to strengthen the lungs and heart when asthma is well controlled.   The key is to have well controlled asthma. There is not a specific exercise or sport that is the best for asthma. Swimming tends to be the best tolerated.   These points should be discussed with your doctor first. If you have noticed that exercise causes asthma symptoms further evaluation is advised.   I encourage my patients to be active in any sport they have a strong desire to play. If problems arise we address them and make adjustments. Rarely, a sport or activity must be avoided (usually another sport is considered that may be better tolerated).   Yours,   J. Thompson, MD
