Hi Bob,   Congratulations for quitting smoking! That is an incredibly difficult thing to do. Because you were wearing the patches and smoking at the same time, it is possible you were getting an overdose of nocotine and now that you are no longer smoking you are experiencing a little withdrawal. There is a new site here at Health Central just for people like you who either quit or are trying to quit. The site is www.stopsmokingconnection.com There you can read about the basics of what it's like to stop smoking. How it affects your body and what you can do to help get over the difficulties like withdrawal. Also some great resources and information here.   I hope this helps. If you continue to have difficulty with panic attacks and other issues it might be best to see your doctor.
