Q: I am very allergic to eggs so my Doctor says I cannot get the flu shot. Is this true?

I hae never had a flu shot as i am very allergic to eggs and dairy products. Am almost 70 years of age and have asthma.

Hi,

 

Take a look at this post on the Cold & Flu site about swine flu vaccines and egg allergy. Dr. Thompson says an egg-allergic person can get a flu shot if specific guidelines are followed under the guidance of an allergy specialist.
