Q: 9 years old male child presented with acute severe bronchial asthma, what is the management line of this child?

Hello... The usual treatment of choice for anyone with asthma is a daily controller medicine in the form of an inhaled steroid. A rescue inhaler, albuterol, to be used as needed, is also usually prescribed. Determining asthma triggers is essential... and then avoiding contact with them as much as possible is another important line of defense against asthma.

 

If the child suffers from allergies, then allergy medicine, such as an antihistamine, may also be useful.
