Q: Symptoms of asthma

I have symptoms of asthma. But my pulmonary function test returned normal. What else can I have?  I have continuous shortness of breathe, pressure strained chest pain, coughing and some wheezing.  Sometimes have a problem talking without taking a gulp of air.  I have had a chest xray and a heart cath and they were both normal.  I am very uncomfortable. HELP!

However much I would love to tell you exactly what's going on, that's something only a physician can do.  The best thing for you to do is to continue working with your doctor.  If you are not getting the answers you want, perhaps you could request to see a specialist such as a pulmonologist or allergist.
