Q: hi,i am rashmi,my son suvan 5 yrs old is told that he has childhood asthma,can u help me to give the proper medicine,i am confused

hi my son suvan 5yrs old has childhood asthma,one doctor priscribed---seroflo spray 2puffs a day,omnacortil 5mg syrup,levolin spray4 puffs a day.another doctor gave omnacortil 10mg tab,montek lc kid,foracort 200 inhaler,combinace aq nasal spray,theoasthalin syrup 2 tbs every day,we are new to this place,so trying different doctors,dont know which medicine to give.earlier in cyprus he was treated to combivent,pulmicort nebuliser medicines and singulair powder(at the age of 3.5 for 8 months)

Hai Rashmi,

 Theo asthalin & Montek LC are both anti asthmatic drugs. Theo asthalin is more effective in breathing problem and Montek LC have multiple effect in controlling of breathing, allergic etc.

 

Consult a child specialist.

For long term you can try antigen treatment.Its very effective

thanks doctor

i am now giving him--foracort 100mcg one puff two times a day and singulair 5mg once a day.i wanted to know what are the side effects of these inhalers.
