Q: Using rescue inhaler having consumed alcohol?

Would using a rescue inhaler while having consumed a moderate amount of alcohol be dangerous in any way? I also have a Ventricular Septal Defect but I'm not sure if this makes a difference. I'm male with very mild asthma. Only have to use rescue inhaler less than once a month. Asthma attacks are more of slight wheezing accompanied by tightness in chest but if I don't have my inhaler it's nothing that will send me to the hospital or be a real emergency.

I think you are safe to have a few drinks with Ventolin.  I have never heard of any studies or any other such evidence to suggest alcohol and ventolin can't be taken together.  I also know of many asthmatics who use ventolin and drink alcohol from time to time.  However, if you want to be on the safe side, it never hurts to ask your physician.
