second name of advair diskus 100/50
Hi,
I'm not aware of any other name for Advair. It is a brand name for combination inhaler containing an inhaled steroid, fluticasone propionate, sold individually under the name Flovent, and a long-acting beta agonist, salmeterol, sold under the name Serevent.
Another similar combination inhaler is Symbicort, which contains the same types of medications, but different brands. In Symbicort, the inhaled steroid is budesonide, sold under the Pulmicort brand and the LABA formoterol, sold as Foradil.
Hope that helps,
Kathi

I BUY ADVAIR FROM MEXICO, THERE IT IS CALLED "SERETIDE DISKUS" BUT IT IS THE SAME PRODUCT BY THE SAME COMPANY, GLAXOSMITHKLINE, AND COMES IN THE SAME VARIETY OF DOSES. I BUY 500/50 AND IT COSTS BETWEEN $40 AND $60 US DOLLARS FOR ONE DISKUS = ONE MONTH SUPPLY. I HAVE FRIENDS WHO TRAVEL BACK AND FORTH FAIRLY FREQUENTLY AND THEY GET IT FOR ME. IT WORKS THE SAME AS THE MUCH MORE EXPENSIVE US VERSION. I WISH THERE WERE A GENERIC SUBSTITUTE BUT THERE ISN'T.
