While asthma may appear to go away in many asthmatics, once you have it you always have it.  There is no cure.

The good news is that by working with a good asthma doctor you can get your asthma under control so it may "appear" to go away.  With good asthma control you should be able to live a normal quality of life.

To get your asthma under control you'll want to find the best medicines that work for you and take them even when you are feeling well  (see this post).

You'll need to know the signs and symptoms of asthma, know your asthma triggers and how to avoid them, and work with your doctor on creating an asthma action plan and follow it to a tee.
