I am taking advair and it works like a charm, I never need my emergency inhaler anymore. My question is because I need the advair to control my asthma and I am about to lose my health insurance, how can I get it cheaper, I pay $30 a month now. Thanks

Good question. Advair is perhaps one of the greatest asthma medicines ever invented, and has benefited many asthmatics.
Unfortunately it costs over $100 without insurance, way too much for most budgets. And, considering one discus lasts only one month, Advair can get pretty expensive on the annual medical budget.
New drugs llike Advair are patented patented for a certain number of years. I'm not positive, but I think it's 25 years. When the patent runs out generic Advairs will be available and the price will drop significantly.
At the present time this doesn't do us Advair users much good. About the only option I can think of is to talk to your doctor and see if he can give you some free samples. If I can think of any other options I will be sure to let you know.
