I was originally diagnosed at age ten with severe asthma. Iam on my third inhaled corticoid right now which is helping to keep it under control. Its been so severe that my mom has had to call nine one one. This was over a year ago and I have been to the ER quite a few times for a severe asthma attack needing a hundred percent oxygeon plus IV steroids and oral steroids. Ive even been admitted. Last time I was admitted for an asthma attack due to bronchitis was November and it was at Childrens.

Hi Sarah... I can tell you are concerned about your health, and that's a good thing, that you are taking things seriously, as it sounds as though you really do have a severe, poorly controlled case of asthma.
Are you taking all of your prescribed asthma medications exactly as the doctor has instructed? New medicines are often coming out to treat asthma and the often-related asthma. The best source for what is available right now and what would be a positive choice for you would be a doctor who is familiar with your health history. Pulmonary specialists or allergists are most likely to know all the latest treatments, along with their pros and cons.
