Q: Seasonal flu and H1N1 flu shots safe for asthma patient with egg allergies?

I am concerned about the upcoming flu season, and wonder whether my 12-year-old with asthma and egg allergies should get a seasonal flu shot (which he has never done) and/or the H1N1 flu shot?  Does the risk outweigh the benefits?

My son has an egg allergy and asthma as well.  He is only 2 years old though.  Last year I had a skin test done for the seasonal flu vaccine and he did not have a reaction.  This year, he did not have to have the skin test agin and he has received his seasonal flu vaccine.  He was not allowed to get the H1N1 flu shot at the "mass" vacination clinic because of the egg allergy.  They suggested I go to the allergist to get the H1N1, but who knows how long that will take since their is now a shortage of the H1N1 vaccine.
