what can you do between treatments for the cough,my grandson is 7 and is haveing alot of trouble,

My grandson is seven and has had asthma for six years,he has been really bad the last 2 weeks and it seems the treatments dont last notime he is asking for a treatment every 30 min or so, thanks grandma.

One of the true signs of uncontrolled asthma is using rescue medicine more often than prescribed.  If you grandson is needing a breathing treatment every 30 minutes that is a sure sign that you should call his physician ASAP.  If you think his asthma is bad enough or the doctor is not available, then you may want to consider going to the emergency room.

 

Likewise, here is a great list of all the early and late warning signs of asthma which may help you monitor your grandson's asthma and decide what to do. 

 

Likewise, it's often difficult to know what to do for a child's asthma, or when to call a doctor. That is why it's always a good idea to work with his physician on developing an asthma action plan.  You can read more about this by clicking here.
