One of the true signs of uncontrolled asthma is using rescue medicine more often than prescribed.  If you grandson is needing a breathing treatment every 30 minutes that is a sure sign that you should call his physician ASAP.  If you think his asthma is bad enough or the doctor is not available, then you may want to consider going to the emergency room.   Likewise, here is a great list of all the early and late warning signs of asthma which may help you monitor your grandson's asthma and decide what to do.    Likewise, it's often difficult to know what to do for a child's asthma, or when to call a doctor.
