Hi Mike,

Albuterol is a short-acting bronchodilator that is commonly used as a quick relief inhaler when asthma symptoms are not controlled by a daily inhaled steroid. However, a few small studies have also shown that albuterol may have promise in treating certain neuromuscular diseases. I would conclude that more study is needed before this becomes part of a standard treatment protocol. Still, if it is something you are interested in, then I would encourage you to talk with your doctor in greater detail about your condition, your treatment options and any questions or concerns you might have.

To your health,

Kathi

Yes, there are studies that show albuterol pills help in grip strength.  You can go on MDA's website and look up the studies.
