Q: walking into cold airports trigger bad attacks

Sounds like you had better stay away from airports.  I'm not sure why this would happen.  It is true that cold air can be an asthma trigger, but I can't imagine any airport being that cold.  However, I could be wrong.

Hi Jerri... There could be all kinds of asthma triggers lurking in airports, from chemical fumes, perfume odors, dust, mold, and even frigid air from air conditioning. We are each of us slightly different in our reactions and triggers.

 

If you can narrow down what you are reacting to, it may help you control the situation in the future. Meanwhile, go prepared. Bring your rescue inhaler and be ready to use it, as needed.

I would think no.  The colder I am the better I breathe, the hotter ...my asthma gets bad.  It could be any number of things; mold, mildew, dust, perfume...

Yes, But the fact that it is an airport is insignificant, its the cold that is a factor.
