Hi Stacie,

in general, Advair can be used with other drugs, but there are a few that may present problems, so it's good that you're asking this. According to the Advair.com website, these are the kinds of drugs that should not be mixed with Advair (unless your doctor specifically says it will be OK):

• Monoamine oxidase inhibitors and tricyclic antidepressants, which are used to treat depression.
• Beta-blockers, which are used to treat high blood pressure and heart disease.
• Diuretics, commonly known as water pills, used to treat heart disease and high blood pressure.

* Strong cytochrome P450 3A4 inhibitors (e.g., ritonavir), that are used to treat viral diseases like HIV.

My advice? Discuss any concerns you have about using Advair with your doctor who knows you.

To your health,

Kathi
