Q: 23/f. diagnosed w/ asthma 1 mo. ago. had cough for last 1 1/2 yr. stay croupy, rarely phlegm. dr. prescribed inhaler ventolin & antibiotic levaquin. still have the croupy cough... ?

chest often feels tight, especially after activity. but not so bad i have to stop what im doing. sometimes feel as if im not getting enough air... for example, feels like im inhaling through a stir stick (tiny straw). this happens rarely, but when it does its w/ out warning & seems to be relieved by a deep breath.... which brings me to this point, if i breath too deeply, its like i choke on the air im inhaling. would like some answers! want this cough gone!

I really think you need to have this evaluated by a specialist. It definitely doesn't sound like your asthma is under control. Why is the question, but only a doctor can tell you. I'd suggest a respiratory specialist, called a pulmonologist.
