Advair is an asthma controller medicine that should be taken when you are sick and when you are well -- especially when you are well. The steroid in the Advair reduces the chronic inflammation in asthmatic lungs, and also makes your lungs generally stronger. That way when you are exposed to your asthma triggers your air passages in your lungs are less sensitive and less likely to spasm.
