There is absolutely no way for anyone here to answer this question. Prednisone can be prescribed for many reasons, both for asthma and other problems. How much a person needs is based on their particular health status, diagnosis, age, weight, and the desired outcome.

 

The best person to answer this question will be your doctor.

 

One thing I can tell you, however, is to follow your doctor's instructions exactly for how much to take. Prednisone should never just be stopped abruptly, as it can cause severe health problems if you do so. It must be tapered graduallly to a very low dose and then stopped, following your doctor's exact instructions.
