can you take cough medicine with singulair

Hi ade317,

 

Thank you for your question. There are many, many different types of cough medicines on the market, and I'm not sure which one you're trying to take with your Singulair. Additionally, if you're taking any other medications besides Singulair, I can't say whether the cough medicine will interact with those. However, I can tell you that if the active ingredients in the cough medicine include dextromethorphan or guaifenesin or both, then there is no interaction with the Singulair. I hope this helps!
