Advair is a medicine that you must take daily as prescribed by your doctor to be effective.  It usually takes 2-3 weeks for the medicine to fully get into your system.  Most asthma medicine is generally good for up to a year before it starts to lose its potency.  Advair is considered a safe medicine if used as directed by your doctor.
