My grandaughter has been prescribed Pred Forte eye drops and I am wondering if the chlorine in a swimming pool could cause an adverse reaction.

Hi Diane,
In researching this, I find no mention of any interactions between PredForte eye drops and chlorine. However, not every possible interaction may be known. The bottom line is this -- if you're seeing any unexpected side effects or have any concerns at all about your granddaughter's eye condition, contact her doctor right away.
That being said, I'm wondering if the chlorine could just be further irritating the underlying eye condition for which the PreForte has been prescribed? Chlorine can be quite irritation to the eyes.
