Thanks for asking. I wish I could give you an easy answer, but that's not really possible here.
How about going to the emergency room? If you are concerned about your heart you may want to go and get it checked out right away.
Even if you don't do that, you definitely will want to discuss this with your physician. While these symptoms are not normal, he may have a simple solution for you. For example, if he thinks this is a side effect to the medicine you are on, he may have you stop taking it.
If your physician has greater concerns, he may then refer you to a cardiologist. Or, he may tell you to go to the emergency room for a full check up to make sure you are okay.
Now I'm curious: What medication are you on? Is it for a conditions other than asthma? If so, what condition is it?
I hope this helps. Let us know what you do and how things turn out. If you have further questions please feel free to ask.

Hi,
I have both asthma and atrial tachycardia (which is considered an arrhythmia). If you are really worried about it/ or don't feel good I would definitely ask your doctor. I thought this was normal for a long time, because I've had both conditions forever. Now I'm treated for both, with a broncodilator and a calcium channel blocker, and it's much better. I also get more tachycardia from the asthma drugs though, which is unavoidable if I'm sick, and sometimes I also get it if I'm nervous. My doctor helped me sort it out.
Good luck!
Angel
