Barring that there are no other environmental changes in your life other than your brother moving in with you and smoking, I would recommend (however hard this might be to hear), that you have your brother move out of your house.  If he is smoking the illegal stuff, that would make it even worse for your asthma than regular smoke.    Aside from what I just wrote, I would highly recommend that you talk to your doctor and discuss your concerns with him or her.  Considering your asthma was controlled for the past "couple years", it would appear that something NEW is upsetting your asthma.  Is it your brother's smoke, or is it something else?  You definitely should be discussing this with your doctor.   Even if you cannot get rid of the things that irritate your asthma, you should discuss this situation with your doctor, because he or she MAY be able to change your medication regime to help you get your asthma under control.
