Q: Can moving improve my asthma?

Can changing climates improve asthma? I went 20 years asthma free until I moved to the Mid West where I also have allergies all of a sudden. Could moving back to where I was improve my asthma?  It seems i am most severe seasonally with only minor issues during the winter and summer.

I grew up on the beach in California and had asthma as a child, but out grew it by the time I was 12.  Stayed in California for 20 more years with no problems.  Within a month of living in the Mid West I had severe allergies and asthma problems.

Contimplating moving back for quality of life...

Thank you
