Hi Meredith16!   I'm Joy, the manager for this Web site.   You heard right, the FDA is investgating Singulair's link to suicide and suicidal behavior after a teenager taking the drug committed suicide.   We have a whole page about the drug Singulair here with a lot of information and the latest news.   The short answer is that you should ask your doctor directly about your Singulair prescription. In general, though, taking the drug may not be a problem for most people right now. The largest, most influential groups of allergy and asthma doctors in the country (the American Academy of Allergy Asthma & Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology) issued a statement saying that the FDA's probe "is based entirely on case reports and there is no indication that such effects apply to other leukotriene-modifying medications."   Bottom line: Ask your doctor and don't worry!   Come back if you have any more questions!
