22 Years ago my doctor prescibed the above medication as I went into premature Labor. I was wondering now if that could have effected my baby in anyway, side effects or neorological promblems. Is there any articals pertaining to this?

Hi Pattie,
This appears to be a hot question according to a quick web search. Brethine (generic name, Terbutaline) has been linked to birth defects and possibly autism spectrum disorders by at least some lawsuits. My quick web search didn't turn up any medical articles on this topic, but there were definitely some legal articles. I'm not sure if this is the latest hot topic for lawsuit chasing lawyers or if it's a legitimate concern.
If you put "birth defects + brethine" into a search engine, you'll find what I'm talking about. Peruse the first 10 pages or so, and you may turn up something.
Good luck!
Kathi
