Q: continous night cough followed by a vomiting..

im 21 years old.. i usually have this problem of cough. Earlier it was mild and it was not intense at nights.

Iam now facing a difficulty in sleeping as the cough turns intense at night hours and early night it is mild. I have consulted a general physian he said it may be because of a weather change you got a comon cold. but these days the intense cough is followed by vomiting and a severe head ache. Im afraid that i have got something big and scary.

Please help. Is it a symptom of acute bronchitis or its just a infected cough.

Thanks in advance.

We really cannot diagnose over the internet.  It is not comletely abnormal for a coughing spasm to lead to vomiting and a headache.  A common cold can cause nasal drainage which would induce a cough.  Bronchitis, asthma, and a lung infection may also cause increased sputum production and induce a cough.  Which one of the above is causeing your symptoms is something only your doctor can determine.

Are you on a daily asthma medication?  A side effect of some medications is headache vomiting coughing..... some even make it harder to breath for some people.  You just have to play around and find the right medication adn dosage.  (if you are taking one)
